Tire Pressure and Brake Temperature Monitoring
Maintaining proper tire pressure is essential for safe operations while minimizing unscheduled maintenance and extending tire life. Crane SmartStem® technology is a passive, wireless means to reliably monitor aircraft tire pressure. SmartStem helps ensure safety and reduces operator costs by simplifying tire maintenance tasks and ensuring tires safely remain on wing for the longest possible time. SmartStem Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS) are either factory installed which facilitates the display of tire pressure and temperature data direct in the cockpit, or the technology permits easy retrofits when used with a convenient ground maintenance tool. When combined with brake temperature monitoring, Crane Tire and Brake Monitoring Systems (TBMS) provide operators with complete information of their tire and brakes in order to minimize maintenance and reduce cost.
Integrated, Onboard Systems

By replacing the tire inflation valve with a SmartStem wireless Tire Pressure Sensor, tire pressure maintenance becomes quicker and more convenient.
