F-16 Brake Control System Upgrade

 

Crane Aerospace & Electronics was selected by Defense Logistics Agency Aviation to provide a brake control system redesign for the United States Air Force fleet of F-16 aircraft in January 2022. For more than 75 years, Crane A&E has provided brake control system solutions and has 30,000-plus systems in operation today. 

The F-16 upgrade will feature Crane A&E's Mark V Brake-By-Wire technology to provide improved safety, reliability and performance while reducing maintenance and addressing obsolescence. The upgrade will include a new Crane A&E supplied Brake Antiskid Control Unit (BACU), Brake Control Valve Assembly (BCVA) and a Wire Harness.
